Our hydrogels form a biocompatible, semi-permeable matrix around the cells or tissues - providing cytoprotection, shielding from mechanical stress, and stabilising key biological structures.

The result? Samples retain their morphology, marker expression, and function after days at room temperature.

THE SCIENCE OF HYPOTHERMIC PRESERVATION

1. At 37°C (Mammalian body temperature) cells are metabolically active with a fluid membrane

2. As temperature decreases (hypothermia), cells enter a state of hibernation but are susceptible to membrane damage and subsequent death
